223 Bibles
Harvest Quest
Kingston. 223 Bibles in 1h50m with one table. 122 Bibles per hour (BPH), more than 2 a minute, smashing previous BPH records. Team was Dan and the Americans (Chris and John).
It looked like a revival in Kingston. We arrived with unstickered Bibles. We stickered one, put it on the table and repeat. By the time one box was done, only 4 Bibles were left on the table. It was so busy and the team was small MATT 9:37. Generally no time for in-depth chats.
But God always makes time ... a dad and his 2 boys came over. One of the boys loved Jesus (the other one prob did too but was younger and quieter). The dad had lots of questions about different translations. God had been working in his heart - he had recently attended church a few times - but he didn't know the message of the Bible. We shared the gospel and the necessity of Jesus death and resurrection. As we shared, his son affirmed the truth of everything we said with great joy. The dad fell under conviction and started crying. At the end the dad said "What do I have to do?" ACTS 16:30. We prayed together and led him to Jesus. His son was rejoicing. The dad said "I know God brought you all here today". We hugged before they left. To God be the glory. Praise Jesus.
One really weird thing. I couldn't believe the demand, I thought I have to film this. But strangely, every time I started filming people stopped coming and a demonic Muslim appeared out of nowhere and started shouting Allah and taunting us. And then I stopped filming, Jonnie prayed, the crazy Muslim left and people started coming again. So I started filming and the people stopped coming again. Very interesting!
Father God, thank you for putting such a hunger in peoples hearts. Please use us to point them to the bread of life. Amen!
